Become a creator and set up your channel

Turn on the creator tools, build your public channel and set your payout currency before you sell anything.

Every event, video and journey you publish lives on your channel — your public page on Platonix. Setting it up takes about five minutes.

Before you start

  • A Platonix account (sign in with your email code, Google or Apple).
  • A square photo for your avatar and a wide banner image (2560 × 640 px works best). JPEG, PNG or WebP.

Turn on the creator tools

  1. Open your [profile](/user/profile/) from the avatar menu.
  2. On the Become a Creator card, click Become a Creator.
  3. Confirm with Confirm. You'll see "You're now a Creator — welcome!" and land on your Creator dashboard.

> Tip: the card only shows while you're not a creator yet. If you don't see it, you already have the creator tools — open Dashboard in the top bar.

Create your channel

  1. Go to Settings › Channel Settings (or open [Channel settings](/creator/channel)). You're also sent here automatically the first time you try to schedule or upload without a channel.
  2. Choose the Visibility:
  • Unlisted — only reachable by direct link. Perfect while you set things up.
  • Public — listed on the homepage, in search and in browse.
  1. Under Branding, upload a Channel Banner and a Channel Avatar, then crop them and click Apply banner / Apply avatar.
  2. Under Channel Info, enter your Channel Name, pick a Handle (3–10 characters: lowercase letters, numbers, ., _ or -) and write a Description.
  3. Under Content Settings, pick what you'll offer (Videos, Events, Bytes, Journeys) and your languages.
  4. Optionally add a Donation Link under Monetisation.
  5. Check the Preview (Desktop and Mobile), then click Create Channel.

Your channel is live at platonix.ch/@yourhandle. Use Share channel in the header to copy the link.

Set your payout currency (required to sell)

  1. Go to Settings › Payment preferences ([open](/account/payout)).
  2. Choose Your country, your Payout currency and your Preferred payout method, then click Save.

> The payout currency can't be changed once it's set — every paid ticket, video and journey is priced in it. Pick the currency of the bank account you want to be paid into.
