Go live and end your event

Support guide · 2 min read · 1 Oct 2026

Join your open room or stage as the host, let attendees in, record, and end the session for everyone.

Join as the host

  1. Open the event from Media › My Content or your dashboard's upcoming events.
  2. From 30 minutes before the start, the Event Console button reads Join early — click it to set up in peace. Once the event is live it reads Join now.
  3. Open room: on Device settings, pick your camera, microphone, speaker and background, then click Join meeting.

Managed stage: on Ready to join?, check your name and devices, then click Join Meeting.

  1. You join muted with the camera off — everyone does. Click Unmute and Video when you're ready.

> Attendees can come in from 5 minutes before the start. Anyone who arrives before you waits in the lobby and is brought in automatically the moment you start — nobody needs to refresh.

Let people in

For events with Require approval or paid tickets, the Access Requests panel on the event page lists each request. Click Approve or Reject.

During the session

  • People shows who's there; Chat and React keep the audience involved; attendees can Raise a hand.
  • Share shares your screen.
  • Record / Stop recording controls the recording (host only).
  • On a managed stage, use Access in the host menu to give someone mic and camera, then Save Access.

End the event

  1. Click Leave.
  2. In Leave Meeting?, click End for All, then Yes, End for Everyone.

> Leave Meeting only takes you out — the room keeps running. End for All closes it for everyone and can't be undone.

After the event

The recording appears in My Content. Click Publish recording on the card to give it a title and choose Publish to Public or Save as Private. Who can watch it follows the replay setting you chose when scheduling.
