Pricing, fees and payouts

How prices, the 10% platform fee, tax, minimum prices and cancellation deadlines work when you sell on Platonix.
Your payout currency
Everything you sell is priced in your payout currency, set once under Settings › Payment preferences ([open](/account/payout)). Buyers pay in their local currency, converted at the current ECB rate.
The platform fee
Platonix keeps 10% of each sale. When you set a price, you choose who carries it:
- Fee comes out of your price (the default) — the buyer pays your price; you receive 90% of it.
- Add on top — the 10% is added to the buyer's price, shown as its own line; you receive your full price.
The Payout breakdown next to the price shows exactly what the buyer pays and what you receive.
> VAT or sales tax is added at checkout based on the buyer's address and never comes out of your payout.
Minimum ticket prices
Paid event tickets have a minimum price, for example CHF 0.62, EUR 0.65, USD 0.70, GBP 0.55 or INR 60. The form tells you if your price is below it.
Cancellations and refunds
- For each paid event you choose Free cancellation until: until it starts, 5 hours before (default), 24 or 48 hours, or 7 days before. Before that deadline, attendees can cancel and get a full refund themselves; after it, the ticket is non-refundable.
- If you cancel the event, everyone is refunded in full automatically.
- A refund removes the buyer's access and reverses that sale in your earnings.
