Day 289: Interdependence – One Reality, Many Manifestations

Quote of Pujya Guruji: “In the world there is no such thing as independence. In reality there is only interdependence.” Are we truly independent, or is everything in the universe interconnected? Drawing from Śrī Ādi Śaṅkarācārya’s Tattvabodha, we explore the twenty-four tattvas that explain the constitution and functioning of the individual. We then examine the material and intelligent causes of the universe and turn to Bhagavad Gītā, Chapter 10, Vibhūti Yoga, where Śrī Kṛṣṇa reveals His divine manifestations throughout creation. From the Gāyatrī metre and the sacred syllable Om to Arjuna among the Pāṇḍavas, we discover how the many manifestations guide us towards the recognition of the One. Beginning with interdependence, we proceed through enquiry towards the Advaitic vision of non-duality: Brahman alone is the underlying Reality, and our true Self, Ātman, is not separate from It.
